The Time Has Never Been Better
Philanthropic marketing is not new. It's just that the need has never been greater. And neither has the opportunity. With charities being among the hardest hit of our important institutions since the dot.com implosion and 9/11 disaster, the time is perfect for you to choose a charity that reflects your values and purpose. And, then, of course, you do something with and for that organization.
What you do doesn't have to be huge.
For example, in launching her beautiful new book, For the Love of Padah, our client, Eileen Scott, is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book and related products to the Salvation Army. Most importantly, the bookstore sponsoring her launch is able to promote the event by alerting customers they not only have an opportunity to meet a special author, but support a worthy organization at the same time.
There are many creative ways to support an organization that speaks to the things you believe are most important. The reason it is important to have you and your charity well aligned is that the people you do business with want to know what you stand for. If you're a regular to this newsletter, you know why I say that. The fact is, People Buy People. In a world of mind-boggling change, you're the constant. You're the steadying element. The people you do business with want to know what the element stands for.
It seems so simple.
Why don't more people do it? Probably because we don't think about it. And that's why I decided to focus this article on the subject of giving. To ask you to think about it. I will do the same thing. In case you're wondering, our primary 2003 Charity will be the Susan G. Komen Foundation. What's yours?

A Big-Screen TV Named NicheCraft

Daniel Goodenough Joins Ranks of Certified NicheCraft Coaches
Daniel Goodenough (Boulder, Co.), author, professional coach, and creator of The Way of the Heart is the most recent graduate of my NicheCraft Certification program. As part of his Certification Project, Daniel worked closely with a small group of exceptional professionals who are schooled in his own system, The Way of the Heart. Using NicheCraft as the framework, members became more clear how The Way of the Heart is, itself, Special. Most of all, they focused on the unique qualities each of them brought to the table. NicheCraft Launched Down Under
Late October, early November was an especially exciting time with my trip to Australia and NicheCraft's official launch in that extraordinary country. After my keynote address to the Business Development Industry Conference in Sydney and follow-up workshop with Certified NicheCraft Coach and Coordinator, NicheCraft International, Elisabeth Gortschacher, we traveled to Rose Hill, Elisabeth's home which is located in the breathtakingly beautiful Aussie countryside, approximately 17 KM from Wellington, NSW.
While in Wellington, we celebrated the official launch of Wellington as the Asia-Pacific Region's Centre for NicheCraft. Attended by a host of local and regional dignitaries, the launch received excellent press coverage, which of course, pleased us very much. Not surprisingly, I found my trip much too short and am eager to return soon. In the meantime, I am thrilled that NicheCraft is well on it's way to being an important part of Aussie life and business. Thank you, Elisabeth Gortschacher for your excellent and on-going efforts to make all this happen.
